This is a six month contract for a full time position for 37 hours per week, based in Whitehaven, Cumbria, with a salary of £20,000 pro rata.
Irish Sea Conservation Zones is a project to help secure a healthy and prosperous future for the Irish Sea by recommending areas of it for environmental protection. Our role is help the people who use, work on or enjoy the Irish Sea to make these recommendations to the government.
Working with the two existing Liaison Officers, the third liaison officer will be instrumental in building links with sea users, gathering data and ensuring awareness of the project with stakeholders.
The post holder will be responsible for covering northern Lancashire and Cumbria with a possible further role to coordinate data collection in other areas such as Scotland.
Liaison officers currently cover Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and Wales.
