Get InvolvedNatural England and the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) have published the key guidance that sets out the ecological requirements for Marine Conservation Zones.
The guidance is Natural England’s and the JNCC’s statutory advice on what is required to meet the government’s UK network of Marine Protected Area.
It also sets out the objectives for selecting individual Marine Conservation Zones.
It will be used by the Irish Seas Conservation Zones project and the three other regional Marine Conservation Zones projects to recommend conservation zones.
